I ran into my ex-wife today while grabbing some coffee. I know she saw me just as I saw her. In fact, she stood next to me pouring her coffee while I was doing the same. And then she stood directly behind me in the cashier queue. I know she was attempting to make eye contact with me but perhaps reason won over spontaneity and decency. A couple of years ago she and her husband fucked me over on some work I did for their business. Rather than going after them for the paltry sum, I just wrote her off as dead to me — which she really is. It’s amazing that you can have a history with somebody and then not acknowledge them when they’re in your presence.
Btw: she’s the blonde on the mural of the outside wall of the famed Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub in Cambridge, MA. Yeah, she left me for the owner and then fucked him over, too.
In recognition of the fact that this velvet spider lives underground, the new genus has been named Loureedia in a whimsical salute to the musician who began his distinguished career leading the 60s rock band “The Velvet Underground.”
Daphne Lee Martin & Raise the Rent, Friendliest Room In Town
I’m so in love with this despite its obvious Portishead sound. Who cares? What American band is doing this? None! Martin, who hails from New London, CT and runs an independent record store just dropped this beauty on me today. I luvvvvv this so much!
